For cycling enthusiasts, the Ecovia do Litoral is a captivating 214 km cycle route that traverses the entire Algarve region in southern Portugal.
Offering several routes varying in difficulty, each journey promises a day well spent amidst spectacular views and the refreshing coastal breeze. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely ride or a challenging trek, the Ecovia ensures an unforgettable experience for all skill levels.
Along the route – or just a short detour away – you can visit iconic spots such as the Ponta da Piedade, the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and numerous pristine beaches, historic castles, and charming towns. The Ecovia do Litoral also overlaps with the international EuroVelo 1 route and primarily meanders through quieter secondary roads, making it a safe and serene journey through one of Portugal’s most beautiful regions.
